Petit St. Vincent, Petite Martinique and Mopion

Joyce on the Lady H, with Petit St. Vincent in the background - look at the color of the water!

Left Union (was glad to leave, to be honest) on Monday and went to PSV (which is part of St. Vincent and the Grenadines) and PM (part of Grenada) - just beautiful islands. PSV doesn't really have much on it, just some kind of resort where each villa is so secluded that you never see your neighbors and when you want room service, you raise the flag at the villa and someone comes in a "moke" (like a golf cart). Here are the photos of PSV - you can see the beautiful beach, it really is gorgeous, and the water was amazing.

(Below photo: that's Union in the background and PSV on the right with the great beach).

The photo above of PSV was taken from PM, just a stone's throw away as you can see.

The photo below is of Delphinus and Lady H, anchored off PSV .

PSV had the most wonderful beach, Phillip and I snorkelled a lot and went ashore, he cracked open some coconuts for us (yum). PM was delightful - not much there, a couple of supermarkets, a bank, and a post office, and of course a hidden away rumshack where the boys bought some rum (I tasted it, it was really more like firewater with a drop of benzine added in - not sure if P really liked it, it was too hot for him I think), but the people were so friendly, what a change from Union. It became one of our favourite islands.

We came across these three goats in Petite Martinique and of course I had to take photos.

Paul and Joyce filled up at the fuel dock and the following morning we bought lobsters from the boat boys (EC$10 per lobster). We would have stayed another night but the weather deteriorated the next day and Joyce and I decided not to dive after all - so we left for Carriacou, passing tiny Mopion on the way. We had hoped to have lunch on Mopion but it was rainy and squally so we didn't. Just a tiny tiny tiny sandy atoll with an umbrella on it!

In Carriacou, we checked in at Hillsborough (the only customs on the island), wandered around a little and then sailed to Tyrrel Bay for overnight - Joyce had to pick up a diving tank from the dive shop there. There wasn't much there apart from the bay itself, so I didn't take photos and don't have much to say about it. Spent Tuesday night there (31 March) and left there 1st April for Grenada (Prickly Bay). Great sail here, about 35 miles, took us 7 hours and Phillip caught a 4 foot Mahi Mahi - yay, fresh fish for dinner!

Below is one of my favorite pics of me and Joyce, snorkelling in Bequia with Moonhole in the background.
